Jonathan Taylor Thomas (JTT) Reunites With His Home Improvement Castmates

With a face that no ’90s kid could forget and a poster on many bedroom walls, Jonathan Taylor Thomas (or JTT as most of us knew him) has been largely absent from the public eye since he left Home Improvement in 1998. But the former child star has finally resurfaced, and he looks just as charming as ever. JTT recently agreed to a reunion photo shoot for Entertainment Weekly, and he reunited with his old castmates to prove that he doesn’t have any hard feelings about his time on the hit show.

JTT reached teen heartthrob status as Tim Allen’s middle son, Randy Taylor, on Home Improvement from 1991-1998. He even landed a spot on Tiger Beat in 1995, which only added to his popularity. He was a fixture on the small screen for years and continued to churn out family-friendly movies, including 1995’s The Lion King, Tom and Huck in 1996, Wild America in 1997, and I’ll Be Home For Christmas in 1998.

When the show’s eighth and final season began, fans noticed a distinct lack of Randy Taylor. The reason was that he wanted to leave the series to focus on his real life education, and his character was written out of the show in order for him to go on an environmental study program abroad.

The move caused some drama at the time, but in the end it was all for the best. JTT went on to attend several schools, including Harvard and St Andrews in Scotland, and ultimately graduated from Columbia University. He also acted in a few TV shows, and made guest appearances on Last Man Standing between 2013 and 2015.
